Opera 21 for Mac and PC with Hardware Acceleration

Opera 21 is the new version of the free browser Norwegian: Windows integrates Aura for hardware acceleration instead of the Mac uses Apple’s Core Animation technology.

The new Opera 21 browser for Mac and PC for the first time takes advantage of graphics hardware acceleration. In the release notes the developer states that the Norwegian version for Windows uses the Aura technology for graphics acceleration in hardware.

Aura is not available on the Mac instead, but the acceleration is still possible thanks to the use of Apple’s Core Animation technology built into OS X, which makes this system API processes for calculating the graphics are run on separate threads than the rest of the software, thus speeding up the calculations in parallel, and also through the graphics acceleration on systems is possible.

Among other innovations reported to include the ability to view the complete Web addresses. In previous versions of Opera has simplified the address bar displaying only the information of the root domain and those that may be available on the safety, allowing all users to immediately recognize the new page and its reliability. With the new Opera 21, in Settings, Advanced, now you can activate the new ” Always show the full URL in the address bar ” that can be useful for programmers and advanced users.
