Sony Xperia Z3 upgraded to Lollipop starting next February

According to statements of its COO, Sony should release the update to the latest version of Android for their flagship Xperia Z3 from the month of February. As now for a couple of years now, even in this 2015 the experts expected at the CES in Las Vegas the announcement by Sony of a new version of our main flagship that, following the nomenclature to be sequential which we are used should have taken the name of Sony Xperia Z4.

The device in question was not even mentioned yet but have come still new and important news for all owners of the terminal point of the Japanese manufacturer. Michael Fasulo, COO of Sony Electronics, announced during the event held Monday at the American festival that Xperia Z3 will receive the update to Android 5.0 Lollipop starting next month.

We have not an exact date, but it is worth mentioning that during the month of October, Sony released some statements in which it was announced that the entire line Xperia Z would receive the update. This means that, sooner or later, even the prize Sony Xperia Z, should be updated.

Going back to Sony Xperia Z4, the future flagship of the Asian giant, we believe that the same will be announced at the beginning of March, on the occasion of the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona. Sony, the usual announcement of their top of the line every six months could then adapt their habits to the tendencies of the other manufacturers and extend to 12 months the interval between two solutions summit.
