Synology DiskStation DS220j, a new NAS for home or small offices
DiskStation DS220j is the new two-bay Synology NAS that can accommodate up to 32 TB of storage space. A good solution to save movies and videos making them accessible even on the smartphone on the move.
Synology has announced DiskStation DS220j, a new NAS (Network-Attached Storage) capable of hosting two storage units for those who want to have a place to save their multimedia contents, having them always available, even on the move.
The NAS, suitable for home and small-office use, can accommodate two 3.5-inch disks up to 16 TB, for a total capacity of 32 TB, supports macOS Time Machine, and allows backup and synchronization with other devices or clouds public.
The NAS has dimensions of 165 x 100 x 225.5 mm and weighs 880 grams. Inside there is a 64-bit quad-core Realtek RTD1296 chip, which works at a frequency of 1.4 GHz and is equipped with hardware encryption, supported by 512 MB of DDR4 memory.
There is a 1 GbE RJ-45 LAN port, as well as two USB 3.0. The DiskStation DS220j is equipped with a 92 x 92 mm fan.

The new Synology DiskStation DS220j is equipped with a DiskStation Manager, the web operating system that accompanies every Synology product. To facilitate content management, you can enable automatic backups of photos and videos on your smartphone, and then consult them with Synology Moments on the move, freeing up space on your mobile device.
Synology Drive allows you to create your cloud for multi-version backups of files on computers and facilitates file sharing and synchronization with other people and on multiple devices.
