Toshiba Satellite L50-C and Satellite L70-C, work and entertainment in the same laptop

Toshiba has announced its new portable of family Satellite L, L50 and L70-C-C, respectively 15.6″ and 17.3″. The first model will also be offered in version L50-D with AMD.

Toshiba announces availability of the new Satellite laptop family L, available in versions L50-C / C-L50D 15.6″ and L70-C 17.3″. The new laptops are being promoted by the Japanese company as devices to be exploited for business needs and multimedia, are structured around the new functionality provided on Windows 10.

Particular attention was paid to style, with an eye-catching design, innovative features and a variety of configurations. The Toshiba Satellite L50-C 15.6″ model is available in different colors including Satin Gold, red, white, purple, brown and black, while the model 17.3″ is only available in Satin Gold. Both notebooks are thinner than the models they replace in the lineup, and integrate a keyboard frameless island.

In addition to improved design and comfort, all models provide all the performance needed to handle the work and get the most from entertainment. The Toshiba Satellite L70-C is based on Intel Core i5 and up to L50-C on Intel processors up to Core i5. On the GPU, you can choose up to an NVIDIA GeForce 930m with 2 GB dedicated VRAM. The model Satellite L50D-C instead uses an AMD GPU and AMD Radeon R6 A10-8700P M340DX Dual Graphics.

Full-bodied and the choice of the storage subsystem: you can opt for a mechanical disk drive of up to 2 TB, while possible solutions SSHD SSD or hybrid models will be available for the L50-C and C-L50D.

All computers in the family will be offered with Windows 8.1 upgradeable to Windows 10 when available and will have specific hardware and components to ensure full compatibility with the new operating system, such as dual microphones and hot key to make the most of Cortana.

On the ” entertainment “, the new Satellite L can boast Onkyo speaker integrated, developed and certified by Skullcandy with DTS Sound Enhancement. The resolution of the screen can be selected by the user depending on the model: all devices are available in HD and Full HD, while the model Satellite L70-C is available in HD (1,600 x 900) and Full HD.

On the connectivity are four USB, one USB 3.0 with Sleep-and-Charge, an HDMI and a network adapter Wi-Fi Intel Dual-Band Wireless-AC 3160 with Bluetooth adapter. The three laptops will be available in August 2015, at a price not yet announced to the public.
