Windows 10 will also be sold on USB Flash Drive

Microsoft will sell Windows 10 Home and Pro even USB Flash Drive. On Amazon.com you can already pre-order the operating system in the new type of drive.

The debut of Windows 10 is coming and talked about for quite some time. We know that in the first year will be a free upgrade for all users Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 with genuine license, but will also be sold in traditional retail channels. But there will be a novelty: differently from that carried out by the company with earlier versions, Windows 10 will also be sold in very comfortable USB Flash Drive.

The Redmond company has opened the possibility of the operating system pre-order on Amazon.com also in atypical digital format, which will complement the most common optical drives and the sale of only one key. Both Home and Pro versions will be available on USB flash drive and their retail price will be the same as the other variants: $ 119 for Windows 10 Home, $ 199 for Windows 10 Pro. No surplus on the price then.

Both versions of the operating system will be shipped starting next August 16, more than two weeks after the official launch and update, which is expected on July 29. Microsoft has not officially released the RTM version of the operating system, even if unofficially this could be the build 10240 already published on Windows Update to all Insider.

That version is probably the same one that will download from 29 July onwards as an upgrade, or that we will find DVD USB or USB Flash Drive purchase in retail channels, although to day-one is likely that there will be some minor updates waiting to be downloaded. Whereas users of Windows 7 and 8.1 will receive the update free, DVD and USB stick are meant only for new users, or for those stoically anchored to Windows XP.
