Surface 3 receives the new firmware update in February, which introduces improvements to the calibration of the touch panel and improves the charging activity.
Microsoft confirms the availability of the new firmware in February (dated 4.2.2016) dedicated to the tablet Surface 3, or the model of ” entry level ” of the Surface tablet line. - Surface UEFI update (v1.51116.78.0) recalibrates the touch panel.
- Touch Surface Controller Firmware update (v4.251.60.0) recalibrates the touch panel.
- Surface Platform Power Driver update (v2.1.36.1) improves charging.
It’s not about updates that disrupt the user experience, as it is pleasant refinements it. To download and install the new Surface 3 firmware, simply start Windows Update and perform a manual check on the presence of new updates. The distribution will reach all models, but will be carried out in stages.
