Honor 5X: A new monster from the impressive value for money

Currently announced only for the Chinese market, Honor 5X is set up as one of those smartphone extremely attractive to the price range they occupy.

It seems that, with the new brand Honor, Huawei wants to own the entire smartphone market. Not famous for users less attentive to market developments. However, Honor has unhinged many preconceptions present especially in the West, providing devices capable at a price not comparable with other similar proposals in hardware. At the high end we must mention Honor 6 and Honor 7, good models offered in $299 and $499.

To these are added Honor 5X, if the floor price is set in the medium-low, on one of the technical characteristics is positioned much higher. The new device uses a 5.5-inch full HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC octa-core (Cortex-A53), supported by 3 or 2 GB of RAM and a 16 GB eMMC flash memory. Completing the list of the technical specifications by a 3,000 mAh battery and a biometric scanner for fingerprints.

The whole is enclosed within an aluminum body unibody slightly rounded at the edges to improve the grip and to make more comfortable grip. On the software are of course Android version 5.1, personalized with EMUI, while the cameras are from 13 and 5 megapixels, with the rear incorporating a lens with aperture f/2.0. The device weighs 158 grams and has a reduced thickness in just 7.9 mm.

Honor 5X is available to pre-order in China starting today and will be sold from November 3 to the price of about $157 for the variant 2 GB of RAM and $220 for the 3 GB of RAM.
