It arrives on the market a new family of SSD produced by Kingston, indicated by the name HyperX Savage. Controller moves from Phison S10 quad-core to eight channels, these units are placed at the top of the production Kingston with SATA 6 Gbps.

The units HyperX Savage are the controller Phison S10 quad-core, with eight channels, allowing these units to reach stated performance of 560 MB/s read and 530 MB/s write and IOPS read/Writing of 100K and 89K respectively.

It is a controller already used by other brands such as Mushkin, Patriot and Corsair, designed to offer both high performance and features more typical of the enterprise sector. It is not clear at the time what kind of memory Kingston has chosen to adopt, if the asynchronous NAND flash type MLC 16 nm Micron as Patriot, or memory to 19 nanometers in line with Toshiba as Corsair Neutron XT.
