macOS 10.14 Mojave: Here is the list of Macs that will support it

The WWDC 2018 saw the presentation of the new version of macOS 10.14 Mojave. Not all Macs will be able to install it and so let’s see precisely which ones.

The opening keynote of Apple’s WWDC 2018 saw numerous news for the upcoming operating systems of the Cupertino company. The most important is certainly iOS 12 that concretizes the will by Apple to ensure strong stability and speed to the whole system. Next to the new iOS 12, the new version of macOS 11.14 will arrive in the fall, which for the occasion has been called Mojave.

We have seen in this article the main news that the Cupertino company is preparing to place within this new major release but this update cannot be installed by all users as not all Macs will support it because of some features that could make the older machines work.

  • MacBook Air Mid 2012 or later
  • MacBook Pro Mid 2012 or later
  • Mac mini End 2012 or later
  • iMac end 2012 or later
  • iMac Pro 2017
  • Mac Pro Fine 2013, Mac Pro mid-2010, mid-2012 possibilemete with GPU able to take advantage of Metal technology

This list clearly lacks the older machines like the MacBook with polycarbonate chassis but also the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac Mini and iMac of 2009, 2010 and 2011.

We saw just yesterday as the preview for the new macOS 11.14 Mojave is already available to all registered users of the Apple Developer Program, while for the Public Beta version.
