Update Google Translator, looks and translates printed text into 27 languages

The new update also includes general improvements, such as a conversation more fluent in over 40 languages. As anticipated the most important innovation is the instant translation of printed text in 20 new languages, using the device’s camera.

From today, then it will be possible to translate the signs to and from English, and from Bulgarian, Catalan, Czech, Croatian, Danish, Filipino, Finnish, Indonesian, Lithuanian, Italian, Norwegian, Dutch, Polish, Romanian, Slovak , Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Hungarian, besides being able to use the visual translation from English to Hindi and Thai.

Although the development team takes Google to specify how Google translator is by no means a substitute for a language course, developers say they are happy in an interview in techcrunch, how the app is still used by students to assist their learning and how the service can also effectively facilitate conversations; thanks to the voice pronunciation is easier to understand how actually to utter a word.
