Xiaomi presents Mi Max: Phablet with the new MIUI 8, larger battery and reduced thickness.

Xiaomi officially presents Mi Max, an Android phablet with wide by 6.44 ” display, Snapdragon SoC 650/652 (depending on configuration) and the new custom user interface MIUI 8.

Xiaomi has officially raised the curtain on the new Mi Max, the new phablet Android that combines a large display from 6.44″ and a large 4,800 mAh battery without impacting negatively on the metal shell thickness which is equal to 7.5 mm. A phablet that in light of the diagonal of the screen, touching the tablet category of small and presents the public with a hardware equipment of medium-high.

The display resolution is FullHD type, feature not at the top of the market, but also able to return a value of 342 ppi, while the SoC chosen varies according to versions: Snapdragon 650 or 652 depending on the model.

Varying also the amount of RAM and storage ranging from basic configuration with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage to the top with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. In all cases, the storage is expandable using the ” hybrid ” slot to accommodate a dual SIM card or a SIM card and a microSD memory card.

Xiaomi confirms that Xiaomi Mi Max will be available in Silver, Gold and Dark Grey colors with prices starting at 1,449 yuan. The terminal will be released in several configurations that differ by type of CPU and RAM memory.

Prices, as assumed, competitive – to evaluate as always, the impact of taxes and import costs in the market – a product that comes to market with new custom user interface version of Xiaomi, the MIUI 8.
