How to Customize your PC
The PC has now become an indispensable tool, on which many of us spend several hours every day. If you’re tired of view or simply want to give an original look, try these tips on how to customize your PC.
You probably do not know it, but you have at your disposal a multitude of options, both functionally and structurally.
1.) Let’s start with what you can customize the settings of your computer: the instructions below, although in substance very similar to the procedures of most versions of Microsoft, refer to Windows 7. Click on the desktop with the right mouse button and select Customize. There will appear the Control Panel window from which you can make changes.
Choose Desktop Background: the images already prepared for this purpose you can select one or several, checking the box to the left of each. Then, in the drop-down menu at the bottom, you decide how you want a time limit that the images change. Alternatively, you can use your image or photo: put them in a folder and after clicking on Browse select that folder.
2.) Even the colors of the entire screen, parts of it or of the windows can be changed. By clicking on Window Color pick one of the proposed schemes, then experimented with tonality, saturation and brightness until you get what you want. Finally, save the changes and you will see the chosen color applied. Even the Screensaver can be changed to your liking, choosing from among those preloaded screensaver or by flowing images and photos, you uploaded to the PC.
Simply select photos, click settings, scroll to find the photos you want to use, set the speed of flow and transition options. Hearing also wants its share, so why not change sounds and alerts that we send our PC or just the ones that we feel uncomfortable? Click Audio, then Sounds, choose one of the arrangements proposed by the Sound drop-down menu or edit them one at a time for each alert or alarm.
3.) If not enough options made available to you from your computer, you can visit the Microsoft Themes, and download free. Even the yellow folders in the long run are boring: try to customize them by changing their color with one of the free applications that abound on the web. For example, Folder Colorizer downloads quickly and allows you to change tonalities and hues of folders.
Once installed and activated right-click on the folder you want to customize and select Colorize. To organize your desktop in original try Fences, an application that allows you to create shaded areas, which become movable containers and scalable to icons and hide files when not in use (available in trial).
4.) We now turn to the structural changes of your computer, a trend known as ” modding ” (ie change to modify). Create a theme or work plan basing on something of which you are a fan, like a film, an artistic style, an animal. Use your imagination, your PC can be changed not only in the color of the body, but also in the shape and size, depending on your creativity and the budget available.
Make a list of everything that you need to accomplish the mission and make a cost estimate: several accessories and tools are quite expensive, and you may find to be leaked by budget constraints. On the web, there are many sites devoted to computer modding or case mod: take a cue and read carefully tips, tricks and errors of those who have gone before you. Above all, make sure that the changes that you are going to make will not interfere with the proper functioning of the computer, in particular, with air circulation, fundamental because it will overheat.
