Panasonic A1: Here’s the new camcorder to wearable

Panasonic announced the new Panasonic A1, wearable camcorder designed for shooting, hands-free, in Full HD.

Panasonic announced the new Panasonic A1, a wearable camcorder. It is a waterproof device up to 1.5 m without the need of a shell resistant to drops from a height of 1.5 m, capable of operating in temperatures down to -10°C, impenetrable from dust (meets the standard IP6X), super compact and only 45 g in weight.

The Panasonic A1 records video at 60 fps (twice the traditional cadence), in HD resolution 1,280 x 720 pixels and 120 fps (four times the cadence traditional), and the resolution of 848 x 480 pixels. When equipped with the infrared illuminator and with special optical coverage for filming in ” 0 Lux Night Mode “, the Panasonic A1 becomes the ideal device to shoot in extremely dark.

Thanks to Wi-Fi connectivity and integrated through the app Panasonic Image will be possible to connect the A1 to smartphone and tablet and verify the correct positioning of Panasonic A1 and then share the footage with friends and family on social media such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter or Flickr.

The Wi-Fi can also be used to create videos in two perspectives, until now the exclusive twin-chamber Panasonic traditional. At just 1.7 ounces, this 750 mAh capacity battery attaches seamlessly to the camera body. When wearing or using the camera and extended battery together, this extra battery also recharges the camera when the power is off.

The Panasonic A1 will be introduced on the market from the month of May, in two-color versions: black and orange.
