Huawei P8 Lite: Review

As usual with all the major manufacturers, the flagship Huwei P8 has followed a revised and scaled in sizes, specifications and also in the price, in the name of the decline but without disfiguring.

It is the custom of all the smartphone makers announce together with its top of the range, or at least a few weeks away, a version of the same magazine and resized that is positioned in the mid-market.

Except for the Compact series of Sony, it is almost always solutions practically identical to the high-end products as regards the aesthetic appearance but with technical characteristics decidedly less important. The number of solutions in this category is now very large and has its origin in the Galaxy S3 Mini to Samsung, the first version of ” shrunk ” the top smartphone Galaxy S3.

It happens so that all manufacturers have to gradually adapt to this modus operandi. The name, often similar to that of the version most renowned and expensive, it attracts many consumers that, at a decidedly low price, they can show off their mini-smartphone top.

Among the companies that have adopted this strategy are, now for a couple of years now, even the Chinese Huawei, now considered as one of the brands most important of the smartphone world view but also nationally. Just the latest high-end smartphones of the Chinese manufacturer has hit the public especially of professionals from different points of view.

Huawei P8 Lite

Huawei P8, the name of the solution, it offers interesting technical features at a price much lower than the competition. We speak of $499 compared with more than 6/700 of the main rivals. Shortly after his announcement came so ” mini ” version of this smartphone, which in the next lines will offer an in-depth after a few days of use.

The name of the solution, as happens in such cases, incorporates part of the top of the range and adds the nickname ” lite “, meaning that it is precisely the ” light ” version of Huawei P8. Hence Huawei P8 Lite, a smartphone that closely resembles the top of the range and that hides very well its limited technical as well as its design a bit less premium than that of his brother.

Starting from the exterior we can say that the two solutions, at first glance, they resemble very much. The shape and the aspect ratio are practically identical, as is the position of the connectors and the various sensors and cameras inside the body.

What changes is the materials, and if Huawei P8 is a blaze of materials metallic and glass in a one-piece shell, the Lite version is decidedly less valuable from this point of view.

Huawei P8 Lite is entirely made of plastic, although at first glance you would not think. Since it follows the design and look back at the finish of his older brother, the effect that it has it is still to a solution whose design has been taken care of properly.
