Toshiba Satellite Click Mini: 2-in-1 8.9-inch

Satellite Click Mini is a new 2-in-1 by Toshiba at CES 2015, and developed for the needs of the consumer. It is based on Windows 8.1, has a 8.9-inch display and will be available on the market within a few months.

Toshiba presents at CES 2015 in Las Vegas a new 2-in-1 tablet dedicated to consumer customers. This is the Satellite Click Mini comes with a 8.9-inch display, and based on the operating system Microsoft Windows 8.1; the product is completed with a keyboard that improves the usability and flexibility of use.

Satellite Click Mini was developed by Toshiba as the first device for children or students and for those who want to use their tablet / PC on the go. The new device is equipped with Toshiba IPS panel Full HD (1,92 x 1,200 px) with capacitive touch technology to 10 points of contact, and the only unit tablet has a weight of 470 grams; connecting the battery the weight increases to 999 grams.

The thickness amounts to 9.8 mm for the only tablet combining the device even while the keyboard is supplied reaches the measure of 19.8 mm. The keyboard incorporates within itself an extra battery that – according to a statement from Toshiba – offers a range of operations of 16 hours in video playback.

For charging the product Toshiba has developed a particular solution: when the device with keyboard is put in charge of internal electronics is able to give priority to recharge the battery integrated into the tablet, providing energy to the secondary battery keyboard only at a later time. This mode allows you to have the unit tablet always in the best conditions possible charging.

Inside the tablet is an Intel Atom Z3735F backed by 2 GB of memory DDR3L and a space for the operating system and data equal to 32 GB of eMMC card. The unit tablet features a Micro-HDMI port, a micro USB and a microSD card reader, while the keyboard is integrated a second USB 2.0 standard format.
