HP unveils Elite x2 1011 G1 passive with Intel Core M and 4 other tablet Windows 8.1

HP today announced eight tablets with different technical specifications and target user charge. Among the most interesting include HP Elite 1011 x2 G1 with Intel Core-M and dissipation entirely passive. We begin with the HP Pro Tablet 10 EE G1: it is a hybrid tablet with keyboard with integrated battery optional. At its base are a series of Intel Core-M (M-5Y71, 5Y51, 5Y10c) that create an IPS LCD 11.6 ” in Full HD resolution. Among the choices of the operating system, we have Windows 8.1 over Windows 7 Professional and FreeDOS 2.0. The integrated RAM can be, depending on the configuration, from 4 to 8 GB, while on the storage disks M.2 we will have from 128 to 512GB or M.2 SE 180 or 256GB.

The hardware of the tablet provides Wi-Fi (802.11n 2×2 or 2×2 802.11ac depending on the model) with Bluetooth 4.0, support for memory cards microSD and microSIM cards. Two cameras, 5 and 2MP (front and rear), a sensor for fingerprint scanning (on the keyboard), a memory card reader (in keyboard) and other security features proprietary HP. Unlike various Surface Pro, the original keyboard Elite x2 1011 G1 incorporates a generous and additional battery.

The tablet contains a 2-cell 33 WHr battery and weighs about 870 g with a thickness of 10.7mm, while on the list of technical specifications, the unit installed in the keyboard is shown by 6-cell 21 WHr and increases the weight of the system 530g. Among other products, HP introduced Pro Tablet 408 G1 and Pro Tablet 10 EE G1: the first is a tablet from 8 ” to 1280×800 resolution designed to lower market segments. It integrates an Intel Atom Z3736 (quad-core 2.16GHz, 2GB of RAM and a choice of 32 and 64 GB of storage via integrated eMMC. It is proposed with Windows 8.1 with Bing to reduce unit production costs, but you can configure it natively with Windows 8.1 Pro 32-bit.

It is complete with a slot for memory cards SDXC, USB 2.0 Micro-B, 3.5mm combo audio port, from 8:02 megapixel cameras, GPS / AGPS and support for Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0. It is often 9mm, weighs 375 g and is on sale from $299.

HP Pro Tablet 10 EE G1 is basically the Windows version of Pro Slate 10 EE G1 with Android. Designed for the educational market, is protected by a shell IP-52 for resistance to intrusion of liquid and powder. It is also equipped with Intel Atom processors (quad-core processor up to 1.83 GHz), 1 or 2 GB of RAM and IPS display 10.1″ 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution.

The weight is very significant for a solution of this type, equal to 850 g, but due to the characteristics of the body to make the product suitable for use in different environments. It is sold for $ 299 for the educational sector, which become $ 349 for all other users.

The last two products of the long list of new tablet HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Healthcare Solution and ElitePad 1000 G2 Rugged Tablet. We are faced with two essentially identical solutions under the body, but with different form factors and aesthetics.

Under the shell we find an Intel Atom Z3785 quad-core up to 2.93 GHz supported by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage via eMMC. The display is in both cases 10.1″ 1,920 x 1,200 resolution with digitizer. Supported Networks Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, mobile broadband and the NFC.

On the connectivity, we find an HDMI port, 2 ports USB 3.0 and two cameras 8 and 2.1 megapixels. Again HP provides multiple functionality software and hardware security, and additional accessories designed for markets that these products will be covered.

The Healthcare Solution weighs 1,100 g and is 20mm thick, integrates two digital microphones and a 30 WHr battery. The version rugged, renounces the microphones for RJ-45 ports and serial integrates a battery similar but is completed with the additional second unit, also from 30WHr, virtually doubling the operational autonomy.

Weighs 1,450 g for a maximum thickness of 33 mm. The two products are offered in $ 1,499 and $ 1,599 respectively for the version Healthcare and Rugged, prices all in all not too high when you consider their target market.
